Gaudí

Design Matteo Nunziati, 2021

A collection of upholstered furniture in which the harmony between wood and textiles inspires images of polite, elegant, almost aristocratic conviviality.

Armchair and a corner armchair with a single armrest: versatile seating units to create elegant conversation and relaxation areas or that can sit alongside the sofas of the collection. The absolute protagonist is iroko heartwood (with a natural or coffee-brown finish) that ensures excellent performance when used outdoors and, thanks to its natural curves, it defines the shape of the project. Starting with the feet, wood continues to the armrests, creating a sinuous structure to support the soft upholstery and cushions. The totally removable cover is available in a wide range of fabrics and colours that were specifically designed for outdoor use. A cover in waterproof and breathable polyester fabric allows the armchairs to be kept in good conditions when not in use and it protects them from atmospheric agents and from the effects of sunlight.
The version of the Gaudí corner armchair with one armrest is a versatile piece of furniture that can join the collection’s sofas and armchairs and create outdoor zones for chatting with friends or for intimate moments of relaxation.
Under the light shade of a tree, the three Gaudi armchairs are arranged on a clear textured carpet, forming a sophisticated lounge area. The ecru Moss 0419 upholstery of the seats, in harmony with the coffee-stained iroko frame, dialogues with cushions in aquamarine Moss 0421 fabric. Pierre side tables, in white T011 and greige T019 finishes, offer essential yet elegant surfaces. The ensemble conveys an understated, natural elegance.
